Use the trend, not only the total
A sudden daily increase may require urgent investigation even when cumulative mortality still looks small.
When to obtain help
Contact a veterinarian or animal-health authority for sudden mortality, severe respiratory or neurological signs, suspected poisoning or a reportable disease. Do not move sick birds.
